RECEPTION HONORING JANIS DITTMAR: A reception
honoring Janis Dittmar will be held after
the 11:00 a.m. church service on May 16th. Janis has recently left her position as
Administrative Assistant. We would
like to thank Janis for her many years of service to our church. If you would like to donate towards a
gift for Janis, please make a check payable to St. James Lutheran Church
and mark the envelope to the attention of Barbara Fischer. Are you able to bake something for the

GARAGE
SALE: Saturday, May 22, 10 AM - 4 PM, Rain Date
Saturday May 29: Our second bi-annual Church Garage Sale will be held in
our bank parking lot. Cost for a space is $25.00. This is a Thrivent fund
raiser to support St. James LC's commitment to Habitat LI. Bring your own
display set-up and cart away your remainders. Checks may be made out to St.
James Lutheran Church. Registration
due by Mon, May 17. Please call the Sandhops at 585-4882 to register.
MAY SUMMER
CLOTHING DRIVE: We have again been asked by the Social
Worker at the Towne House Motor Inn if we could collect summer clothing for
children and adults. When you are going through your summer items, please
consider donating clothing which no longer fits, to these families. Please
put clothing into plastic bags and label for easier sorting. Bins will be
in the Narthex and Parish Hall.
Clothing will be collected and delivered weekly through the month of
May only!!! Please drop off clothing
only before or after services, as the church office is not able to

MAY CARE
PACKAGES FOR OUR TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN:
Donations of items will be collected for the month of May as a Join
Hands Event By Thrivent. A paper listing some of the items to be packed in
boxes for individual soldiers and sent, can be found in the Narthex and
Parish Hall. Collection Boxes will also be in the Narthex and Parish hall.

MAY YOUTH
FUNDRAISERS: The Youth will be having two Fundraisers
in May to help offset cost of this summer's mission trip to Monessen
Valley, PA. Both fundraisers will be
matched in part by Thrivent Financial.
T-SHIRT SALE
FUNDRAISER: The Youth will sell StJLC Tee Shirts
after all services on May 15, 16, 19, 22, 23 & 26. Shirts are $15 each.
CAR WASH
FUNDRAISER: The Youth will have a Car Wash on Sunday,
May 23 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Free will donation
CHRISMONS MAKERS: We will not be meeting for the next
couple months. We will resume in the
fall. Please watch the bulletin.

DONATIONS NEEDED: As we prepare for the Mittelstaedt family
to move into the parsonage we are looking for the following items:
Front Porch: Outside wicker or rattan furniture,
chairs, settee and tables
Backyard: Picnic table , lawn chairs , patio
umbrella Please do not drop off any

An Important
Message From Your Church Council:
We
are pleased to announce that Pastor Neil Mittelstaedt has accepted our
congregation’s unanimous call as Senior Pastor. Pastor Neil has told us that he is very
excited about working with all of us at St. James. He will begin his ministry on June 1st
and Carol and his three children are making plans to move into the
parsonage in July. Pastor Neil will
be in attendance at our open council meeting on Tuesday, May 11th, at 8 PM,
in the parish hall. We would love to
see you there.
